*Note Before Reader Starts*
This chapter contains the word God (said once by a character during shock/panic), the proper medical term for a female's private area (said by other character in way to joke back at first character for their joke), and nudity of a baby as implied since vaguely describes the female character having a baby. The details are very vague, just enough to have the scene clear but not having so much detail where it's like you are right there seeing everything with a video camera. It's very light, and in my personal opinion, cleaner than what's on TV most the time these days. But I know some readers are sensitive so this is why I mention this now and have a Mature filter on it with the website Deviantart. If you read this and find it not in your taste, do not complain to me or tell people it's bad. You were given fair warning before the chapter and choose yourself of your own freewill to read it. If you choose to read it and know you can't handle anything of the above then that was your choice and I hold no responsibility for the choices you make for yourself.
Thank you for reading the above warning. Enjoy Chapter 1 of the first book from the Endless Series.
Chapter 1: Birth
The air was cool and moist in the darkness of the forest off to the west coast. A couple ran quickly as the ground squashed and squished under their shoes. The moon above gave light to the shimmer of a blue stone bouncing around a woman’s D sized breasts, which threatened to bounce out of her low cut dress. Beside her ran a man in a loose yet tight black shirt, open at the chest due to having been torn in a bar fight that took place earlier that evening. He pushed aside a low branch for her receiving a small nod in silent thanks, her red lips parted out of breath. They had run mile upon mile from the capital city to escape the royal soldiers.
Once passed he followed keeping an arm around her from behind now, to hold her up in case she tripped on the uneven ground. The woman’s belly protruded out some with a round shape, showing by size her body was nearing time to birth their growing child, which kept much added concern and worry on the man’s mind. The woman named Sophia gasped for air closing her eyes once they finally stopped at the edge of the forest, a mile from the cliffs that showed the division in the land.
The land was divided up into five segments that had their own nation, race, order, and ruler. Three held Dictators as the other two held rulers of honest and reasonable actions. Their country was named Flora to fit the rare flowers that grew only in that rich soil.
Sophia’s breathing increased becoming broken turning into pants as sweat drops formed and slid down her brow. “Honey I think it’s time. The baby’s coming.” She said softly, trying to keep her voice calm and without worry as she eyed him, hoping he knew what to do.
“Oh God.” was his shocked reply, making her eyes widen with fear that he hadn’t a clue of what to do like herself in the current situation. She didn’t want to have it outside, afraid of wild animals or demons might come around. The man Nate looked around wildly, confused and trying to think of what to do alongside all the rest of his concerns on his racing mind. Why did the kid have to pick now? Why not wait until they returned back home safe and sound? But no it decided to come at the edge of a stinking forest! His cursing thoughts were snapped back to the present as he heard Sophia scream in pain, wincing and breathing harder. Quickly he removed his shirt and laid it down on the damp grass angling some up a bit, to cover some bark of the closes tree. He gently took his wife’s arm, helping her sit and lean back then took his place in front of her.
Spreading her legs he rose her dress up and removed her panties, then placed her feet up on his shoulders after he kneeled down a bit more. “Okay push! Push Sophia!” he told her firmly, waiting for any sign of the baby as she screamed with eyes closed tightly in pain. Sophia took a deep breath and pushed as hard as she could a couple times. On the third try a head started to appear. “Doing good sweetie! Keep it up! Come on! Push! I’m starting to see the head!” he cheered on and she did as he said, pushing hard as she could, screaming due to the unbelievable pain.
Fifteen minutes passed of the hard labor before the baby came enough for Nate to help and pull it out gently. He tore off half his pants leg, supporting the baby in one arm. Moving two fingers together his nails seemed to sharpen a bit as a faint dark aura exited the child’s mouth, allowing it to cry and display its strong lungs. He let the liquid fall, his nails returning to normal on the two fingers before starting to clean the child off. Sophia exhausted grunting as she moved, removing her open outer coat to hand it to Nate, who took it and wrapped it around the newborn to keep it warm.
Sophia shifted her legs stiffly off his shoulders to the ground, wincing as her ankles hit the dirt roughly but didn’t care. She released a breath while relaxing against the tree exhausted and breathless, very glad the pain was over. Nate stood and walked over to Sophia’s side kneeling down and showed her the child, gently handing her the baby. “It’s a girl.” He soothed softly. Sophia weakly took the baby girl, smiling tiredly.
“Aw she’s so beautiful.” Sophia whispered, tearing her gaze from the quieted child to look into Nate’s brown eyes. A few small strains of hair was on the girl’s head looking brown like Sophia’s, returning her blue orbs to the baby as she gently stroked their daughters head. “…I can’t believe something so small could have hurt so much.” Nate chuckled quietly at her words.
“Just think if it were two. Then it’d of been double the pain.” He joked receiving a glare from Sophia not finding it funny. Slowly a small smirk played her red lips with a thought.
“Next time I’ll let you feel the pain of pushing a living being out through your vagina. Oops I forgot you don’t have one.” The new mother cooed with a frowning pout sarcastically, pausing then continued. “We could change that.” An evil grin crossed her lips after those words, seeing him gulp in fear, and slowly ease away from her. His hands were placed to cover his manhood.
“Uh….no. Let’s not even consider that choice.” He said dreading that very thought as Alura opened her wide innocent eyes staring up at the night sky. Her wide brown eyes looked at the tree tops then to the two people hovering above her, blinking curiously.
Sophia laughed lightly at his words and he after a moment chuckled shortly, sighing while moving closer. She looked down smiling softly now “oh look she has your eyes.” Sophia whispered bringing him to look as he sat at her side, nodding and kissed her forehead then lips softly before looking down at their baby girl. “What should we name her?” asked Sophia.
“Um…hmm…what about….Tina?”
“Nah, too many girls are named that. What about Alura?”
He thought then nodded. “I like it. It fits her beauty.” He said gently and kissed Sophia again. “I love you so much.”
His words made her happy and she returned the kiss deeply, softly breaking it to speak. “I love you so much as well Nate.” Sophia looked down at Alura as Nate rested his head on her shoulder. “Oh, look. Her eyes they’re changing.” She whispered seeing some blue show through with the brown as Alura watched with wide wondering eyes. Sophia giggled and kissed Alura’s forehead softly. Alura yawned and slowly drifted to sleep in Sophia’s arms warm inside Sophia’s coat. Nate smiled as they watched the child sleep silently.
After some minutes he gently shifted to his feet, helping his wife stand before reclaiming his shirt. The couple started continuing home now walking so not to wake their new family member, the moon high above them with the flickering stars.
